Top 100 Golf Quest E-Newsletter Vol. 8

Happy New Year Friends!
Another successful year has ended for the Top 100 Golf Odyssey. In 2009 I played 17 more Top 100 courses which brings my grand total to 44. My goal was to reach 50 by the end of 2009, but I’m afraid I fell just a little bit short. That being said, I’m fairly satisfied with having played 44 courses in two and a half years time. My goal of completing the list in 5 years is still within sight but I will have to stay busy over the next couple of years.

I’m continuing to post my adventures on the internet, but I’ve recently done a complete website redesign, including a new web address. The new address is:

www.golftripper.com

The old web address will redirect to the new one, but if you have the site bookmarked I’d recommend going ahead and changing it.

Please do give the new site a look and let me know what you think if you have a spare moment or two. I think its a little more aesthetically pleasing and a little more user friendly. There are also some new features. Specifically the Journal and the Architects sections as well as the Golf News feed.

Since my last newsletter email I’ve added the East Course at Winged Foot Golf Club, Sebonack Golf Club, Quaker Ridge Golf Club, Grandfather Golf & Country Club and Aronimink Golf Club. I also just posted last week about my October visit to Peachtree Golf Club in Atlanta and will add posts about The Honors Course, East Lake Golf Club and Kiawah Island Club’s Cassique Course during the slow winter months.

I’m hoping for another 25 courses in 2010. As of right now the only thing I have set in stone is a trip to Bandon Dunes in June which will knock 3 courses off the list. I have plans in the works for Florida, Arizona, California, Colorado, Chicago, New York, Oklahoma, Kansas, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Nebraska and Georgia, so hopefully it will be a good year. I hope to get a chance to see you all this year and as always please be sure to let me know if your travels bring you to Richmond.
