Top 100 Golf Quest E-Newsletter Vol. 2

My Top 100 Golf Odyssey that began last year has officially kicked off for 2008. So far this year I have added 3 more Top 100 courses to the 10 I played last year for a total of 13 courses completed. I have many more scheduled for 2008 and am targeting to have 25-30 completed by the end of the year.

In February I began the year with a 70 degree day on Hilton Head Island at the Long Cove Club.

At the beginning of March I caught another incredible 70 degree day at the ultra high end Sage Valley Golf Club. I wrote a lot about this one on my website so be sure to check it out. This course is WAY underrated at #91. It was truly incredible.

This past weekend I was in Dallas for a round of golf at Ben Hogan’s home course Colonial Country Club in nearby Fort Worth.

Of course I’ve written about my experiences and posted photos for these 3 courses as well as my past exploits on my website at www.golftripper.com

On April 12th I’m heading to California’s Monterey Peninsula for a week. During that week I’ll be playing Pebble Beach Golf Links, The Links at Spyglass Hill, Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Shore Course) and The Preserve. I’m going to try to update my website while I’m there so take a look during that week for new content.

Speaking of my California trip, I was planning to play Cypress Point Club while I was in Pebble Beach, but I’m having a really tough time with this one. After 2 or 3 false starts I finally secured a slot, but sadly my host passed away unexpectedly last week at the age of 47. A not so subtle reminder to us all that we should be living life to the fullest.

If you happen to have a contact in California (or anywhere else for that matter) that is a member or might know a member that you think could help me with Cypress Point, please let me know. I would really love to play this one while I’m out there on this trip.

Thanks again for everyone’s support and help in my quest!
