Greetings Friends and Fellow Golf Nuts!
I hope everyone had a great summer and is looking forward to the season change as much as me. Fall is here in Virginia and I couldn’t be more excited for my favorite time of the year to play golf. It will be nice to finally enjoy some cooler temperatures after the brutal summer heat!
My Top 100 Golf Odyssey has continued to plug along throughout 2012 with 9 new Top 100 courses visited this year which brings the grand total to 80 out of 100. It’s hard to believe I’ve made it this far. It seems like just yesterday that I was grinding away to get to 15! The big news is that the list will be changing in 2013 which means I will once again have to recalibrate and am likely take a step or two backwards. The moving target model certainly makes this an interesting challenge. I’ll anxiously be awaiting the arrival of the issue with the new list to see where I stand going into the 2013 season. I’ve played a few courses that may come onto the list, so hopefully I won’t fall too far backwards.
Since my last Newsletter there have been a number of updates on the site as I’ve been keeping with my schedule of posting every Monday and every Wednesday. Below are links to a few selected Features, Journals and Book reviews as well as all the Golf Course profiles I have posted since I last put out this newsletter. If you haven’t read “An Interview With The Real McCoy” I would suggest spending a minute or two. Bob McCoy is quite an interesting guy.
I hope everyone has a great fall and as always I thank you all for your support, encouragement and assistance this season!
