by Ron Rapoport
The legend of Bobby Jones has been told many times over, but I have never quite seen it as well done as in this book. This detailed biography is a remarkable tale of a life that was wonderfully enriched by the great game of golf. Starting with childhood stories from East Lake Golf Cluband continuing through the amazing 1930 Grand Slam and on into his later years, Rapoport covers all the major periods of Jones’ life with storytelling expertise. Rapoport’s meticulous research of Jones’ life allows him to breath life into the story in a way that I have personally never seen before. This is a must read for any fan of the golden age of golf and Bobby Jones.
