Located south of Jackson Hole, this Weiskopf course enjoys the best natural terrain for golf of any club in the region.  Pinned between the Snake River and mountains, the course boasts a combination of forest, wetland, flat, and mountain holes that take the golfer on an environmental journey similar to Cypress Point.  Each hole is solid as they deliver a unique look and challenge throughout the round.  If you are looking to get away from it all and soak in nature while playing a world class golf course, then Snake River Sporting Club is the place to be.

Local Knowledge:  The driveable par four 2nd hole is one of Weiskopf's best and features one of the most unique greens I've ever encountered.  Keep the ball up the left side off the tee and try not to 3-putt.

Snake River Sporting Club

What to Expect: Snake River Sporting Club is Tom Weiskopf's best American design to date and is stellar in every way. The course is located between the mountains and the Snake River south of Jackson Hole and features a variety of natural creeks and ponds that come into play on several holes, particularly on the back nine. Most of the holes are relatively flat, but the course does feature some dramtic elevation changes (#1, #2, and #10) off the tee box and deliver an element of excitement, and hangtime, to this high elevation track. The course delivers several different looks to the golfer by cutting through thick forest on one hole, open wetlands on the next hole, and mountainous terrain on another hole. It would be difficult to identify a bad hole on the course and the variety is excellent with different shapes, lengths, and strategies throughout the round. In the end, Snake River Sporting Club is one of the finest courses in the West and is evidence that Tom Weiskopf is getting better and better with his designs since his seperation from Jay Morrish. Signature Hole:  12th - 233 Yard Par 3 - Meandering creeks, winding bridges, and stunning scenery are attractive elements found at Snake River Sporting Club, all of which are featured on the 12th hole. This flat par three plays over a marsh/creek area protected by a high lipped bunker on the left. Watching your tee shot fly towards the green with Jackson Hole’s gorgeous mountains as… More >
