One of the most exclusive private clubs in America this course is a staple on golfers’ bucket lists the world over.  Although the property sits adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean the only detectable evidence of its proximity to the water is the occasional brief glimpse of the beach from the back nine and the ever present wind.  Expertly routed over two sand dunes, the terrain here provides elevation changes that are the antithesis of stereotypical Florida golf.  The club is equally well known as Ben Hogan’s favorite spot to warm up for The Masters as it is for its incredible locker room that has served as inspiration for other clubs’ locker rooms all across America.

Local Knowledge:  Local legend says that the perfectly maintained and inviting looking swimming pool has not been used in decades.

In talking to my friends around town I did learn that my own club has three members who also belong to Seminole Golf Club. I didn’t personally know any of them and I wasn’t sure if they were approachable so I opted to not pursue that option. My plan was just to wait things out and see if any opportunity turned up. One of the many great things about the Top 100 Quest is the incredible people I have… More >
