Country Club of Whispering Pines (Pines)

After our morning round on the River Course at CC of Whispering Pines we had a little lunch in the grill room before heading to the 1st tee of the Pines course for our afternoon round. Before I get to the course I want to point out that the experience we had here was great. This club is semi-private which means that they although they have members, visitors are welcome as well. I've been very fortunate to have visited a lot of private clubs throughout my Top 100 quest and one of the things that I always love the most about those experiences is that it almost always runs smoothly. The Country Club of Whispering Pines was no different. The transition from morning round, to lunch, to afternoon round was as smooth and seamless as can be. I don't know if it was our good planning with the tee times or the clubs flawless execution, but whichever it was we had an easy and smooth transition that did not give the "herded cattle" feel that sometimes happens at public courses. When we spoke to the guys in the pro shop at check in I had picked up on what I interpreted as a preference for the Pines course. After enjoying the River Course in the morning I was looking forward to an afternoon on the Pines Course. I didn't take a whole lot of photos during this round but I'll share a few favorites.
