Hello Everyone! First, I’d like to say that I appreciate all the emails I have received inquiring of my whereabouts since I went radio silent back in June. I tried to respond to all of them, but I may have had a few slip between the cracks. If you contacted me and didn’t hear back I apologize and assure you that it was not intentional. I pride myself on the fact that I have responded to every email I have received over the last 7+ years. I’ve been a little More >

It has been over six months since I sent out my last update and I apologize for being remiss in my quarterly updates. With a move to a new house and a few other distractions I fell a little bit behind, but I will get things back on track here shortly. My Top 100 quest has been rolling right along nice and smooth. I ended 2013 with 92 of the Top 100 courses and so far this year I have played one additional Top 100 course which brings me to More >

My apologies for being a little late with my third quarter newsletter. Things have been a little hectic around here with the launch of the redesigned/renamed website and I fell a little bit behind. In case you hadn't notice The Itinerant Golfer has officially transitioned over to Golf Tripper and the initial feedback on the new site has been great. If this is your first visit to the redesigned site I hope that you'll take a few minutes and click around to see some of the changes. I think you'll More >

Hello to all my family, friends and fellow golf fanatics! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July holiday and is enjoying a great summer so far. My Top 100 quest has been a little slow here at the beginning of 2013, but I've been continuing to chip away at my goal. So far this year I have played 3 new Top 100 courses (for a total of 81) and was able to return to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort to revisit all four of the Top 100 courses there. More >

It looks like spring has finally arrived here in Virginia and I don't know how it could have taken any longer. There was snow on the ground as recently as 2 weeks ago and after a few consecutive days of increasing temperatures I think Old Man Winter has officially been put to bed. This time of year means one thing for golf fans . . . The Masters!!!! Can't wait for the coverage to start and to see how the course looks this year. Hopefully Augusta did not have the More >

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a fun end to 2012 and your 2013 is off to a great start as well. The holidays flew by this year and I didn’t get to spend my usual couple of weeks tinkering with my website as I usually do. Rest assured, there is yet another redesign on the way which I hope will make the site more informative and enjoyable for everyone. 2012 ended up being a great year for golf. Despite the fact that I visited only 10 new Top More >

Hello Friends and Fellow Golf Fanatics! Last month I celebrated the five year anniversary of this site and of my Top 100 quest. It’s been an amazing, incredible, and at times simply unbelievable journey so far. As I reflected on the last 60 months one thing that struck me was all the fantastic people I have met. When I stopped and really began to think about all the golfers I have played a game with over the last five years it was utterly mind boggling. The community that loves golf More >

Happy Masters week to everyone! This week seems like as good a time as any to send out my latest update. I’m excited to watch the tournament and as usual I expect that its going to be a great one. I am continuing to plug away at my Top 100 quest, although I have not played any new Top 100 courses since my visit to Shadow Creek last fall which means I’m still holding tight at 71 courses visited. I’m hoping to make my first Top 100 trip in late More >

Happy New Year! I hope 2011 ended with a fun and safe holiday season for everyone. 2011 was a great year for the the Top 100 Golf Odyssey with visits to 15 new courses from the list as well as quite a few non-list courses and a couple of revisits to some favorites. The current tally is 71 courses played and 29 remaining. Hard to believe I’ve made it this far. Of course, Golf Digest will release a new list next year, so I’m expecting to fall backwards a little More >
