An Essential Item For All Itinerant Golfers

I haven’t done a whole lot of product reviews on this website, but as I was storing my travel gear for the winter I tucked away an old friend that I thought I would mention . . . Club Glove’s Stiff Arm. This may be the simplest and smartest thing I have ever purchased. Basically the Stiff Arm is a rod that fits into your golf bag and has a cap that is taller than your tallest club in the bag. If your bag is dropped on its head the Stiff Arm will take the jolt rather than your driver shaft which is typically the longest club in a golf bag. Below are some photos from Club Glove’s website showing how the Stiff Arm fits into your bag and what it looks like after a golf bag takes a bad drop on its head.

I’ve had my Stiff Arm for over 5 years now and I don’t have a clue how many times it has saved my clubs but I can say that I have never had a broken club and my travel bag looks like it has been through a hell. With over 100,000 air travel miles on that bag I’d say that hell is a pretty good description of where it’s been. Through all the mileage and handling, never a broken club . . . yes, I know I just jinxed myself.

Anyway, I thought this might be a great gift idea for some of my fellow itinerant golfers who were looking for things to put on their gift list this year. It may be the cheapest insurance policy you ever buy. Click the “More Info” button to buy one from Amazon for a little over $25.
